Indigenous Use: A native of Asia, Alfalfa did not reach the North America until the middle of the nineteenth century. In the New World, Native Americans were quick to use Alfalfa for both their animals and themselves. Alfalfa promotes appetite and weight gain, containing a high nutritive profile that is abundant in vitamins and minerals.
Other Uses: Alfalfa also nourishes and purifies the blood, neutralizes acids and toxins, supports pituitary functioning, strengthens the blood vessels, supports healthy red blood cell production, cholesterol levels, joints and muscles, respiratory system, the intestines and the urinary system.
Preparation: Eat or make juice from live food (sprouts). Leaf tea made as blood purifier.
