Indigenous Use: Has many heart healing compounds. Helps hypertension with weak heart, angina, and arteriosclerosis. Also dilates coronary vessels, reducing blood pressure.
Other Uses: Warning concerning blindness from thorns scratching eyes.
Preparation: Make tea by boiling one teaspoon of berries and flowers in two cups of water. Strain and repeat the process a second time with the same ingredients. Should have enough for one cup. Cool and drink quarter of a cup up to three times a day before meals.
