The elders give good council and live long.

Family revolves around women, as they are the primary caregivers to children. This is natural because women suckle and nurture the young, while men hunt for food. This is a simple family model based on the division of labor. The tribe is the extended family and gives support during times of sickness or death. The elders are called upon for their availability and experience. As elders grow physically weaker, they still help raise the young and counsel their sons and daughters. In this model, the eldest son and daughter play the important role of assuming responsibility when needed.
